Bharatanatyam

Bharatanatyam is a major form of Indian classical dance that originated in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the eight widely recognized Indian classical dance forms, and expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas, particularly of Shaivism and in general of Hinduism.

We believe that dance is a divine art form that requires more than a lifetime to learn. And since every student has a varying ability and a different capacity to understand and learn this art, we believes in teaching with individual attention. Therefore, in our academy, there are no designed courses for training. Progress of every student is determined by the student’s own achievements. Achievements are assessed for every student by the Teachers through observation in regular classes through proper attendance, regularity in practice, moral behaviour, sincere efforts to attain perfection in presentation, receptiveness in learning etc.

We train students to take grade exams in reputed institutions such as ANNAMALAI university, Bridge Academy College of Fine Arts, etc. In their journey, students level up their skills through salanagaipooja, natyanajalis, arangetrams and other shows performed at sabhas and temples.
